So, needless to say, the cow did not have a calf. I got over it pretty quickly, and now am looking forward to finding another bred or milking Jersey. I am not looking forward so much to trying to get Rosemary bred again! I think I may just find a willing neighbor with an Angus bull—an experienced Angus bull—and just leaving Rosemary with him for a couple of months. Obviously I’d rather breed to a Jersey, but I’ll take what I can get at this point!

Our weather here has been really weird—so warm! I am sort of ready for winter to get underway now—sounds like it may next week.

Jessamine is due to kid Wednesday or Thursday. This will be her first—she lost hers last year during the horrible pneumonia episode. Here she is, looking very pregnant and uncomfortable:
